i have one questionWell i understand that u can only reforge the 40% of one stat, i mean if u have 129 haste rating u can only reforge 51 of that haste into another.so well, the new item gona be with78 haste rating 51 new statthe question is simplecan u reforge and take haste rating or when u reforge one item u cant reforge again that item?why u cant reforge one stat into intellect or stam, cause i can see u can get spirit but why u cant gat intellect?i have not seen the test servers but is a nice new from blizz but i can tell that why u cant change all the stat into another i mean 129 haste into 129 hit or intellect, i dont see to more usefull this if one hunter try to reforge on item that have intellect cause he can only reforge the 40% of that intellect, not to much usefullanother question, this is one profetion, or is npc vendor that make this?and if this is a profetion, is a secundary profetion or is a primary?i hope u can answer soon and thanks
Spirit is the new MP5 so it's mostly to let healers who have a way to get more or less regen I believe. And nope, this is not a profession. Everyone can do it at an NPC near the enchanter.
I agree with many points stated in this thread, and though I feel Blizzard is too often catering the game to the lowest common denominator (and creating a plethora of clueless 80s, soon to be 85s, in the process), I still have fun playing the game. Problem is, with every tweak to make things easier on people they end up tarnishing the quality of the game overall. If anyone at all can have a max level character, then what is the point of working so hard? I play to have fun and relax, but I also want my accomplishments to mean something, not just mimic what any retard with a WoW account can do. I don't know, just my opinion.

The main advantage I see with this is caps (in my case, hit cap). I hate having to re-gem whenever a new piece of loot puts me over/under cap. Once reforging is active, I can just switch some of my less useful stats to hit if under cap, and if I'm over cap, I can switch hit into something more useful.Does anyone know if you can re-reforge an item? Using the example with the Lasherweave Cover provided by Wowhead, could I take off the +32 Mastery and turn it back into +80 haste?
It's mostly to prevent as many "Damn, I just wish this had half as much hit."
i'm sure it's been said in this 150+ comment thread, but spirit is a 'secondary stat' in cata. i remember reading something somewhere that said 'imagine we made a stat called "mana regen". then imagine that we took that stat and renamed it "spirit", for flavor.' spirit in cata is very much like mp5 in wrath.
I like the idea of the reforging system, but its one that should have been introduced in the early patches. It takes away a stat just to add more Mastery, and while it is "fun" to an extent, it just isn't needed. Running a dungeon was never really that hard for me to begin with, professions like engineering and blacksmithing have useful items for battle.I find reforging a neat little feature, but it doesn't make me want to run out there and get to it, like Alchemy or tailoring do. I know people will like the new "shiny" but to me it doesn't seem like its "needed". It might be useful to some but it seems very overrated for what it does. Glyphs in my opinion, still take the cake as they actually effect powers.
Awesome! It's been so hard finding gear that haste, spellpower, and spirit (which as a demo lock, are your main three) SP > HASTE> SPIRIT (this is assuming you're already hit capped, which I use 2 trinkets for in raids, but I use haste glyphs in pvp/heroics). So I can finally move some crit or stamina into haste or spellpower.
yes, with the restore button, you can return an item to it's most original state.
