It would be interesting to know how many different people play the game.Sadly you can't even really tell that by accounts or what credit card they are played from. I know a couple that are both on the same battle.net account but with two separate wow accounts in side it. And they are both on the same credit card.As for the Chinese playing the game I don't think that is a bad thing. The fact that there needs to be some effort into translating and allowing for any rules the Chinese has is not going to effect what were playing. Blizzard is not going to jeopardize there flag ship product to make it a little bit easier/faster to translate to China. I think a lot of the people saying otherwise are either paranoid or thinly veiling racism.

L2read mang....Not longer wait for groups, longer actual runs....And something I am not looking forward to personally. I liked the speed that LK had, and that it introduced into the vanilla/BC instances as well. It made it not so much of a grind from 1-80 if you could get through the content with a modicum of speed and as few wipes as possible. Now they wanna make everyone relearn our old ways of CC/tabtarget one mob at a time. Which is not the way to go. I will be interested to see how many people will get fed up with the pacing, even with the new content, and how many it will take for patch 4.1.0-3 to come out that once again completely revamps the system to make people want to play once again at a decent pace. Personally the fact that you only get talent points every couple levels irritates the hell out of me. Where's the sense of character growth. Sure you get later talents sooner. You also don't get to the bottom of your talent tree til like level 69 now(with the current beta/ptr builds). That is uterly rediculous to get to the last ability that used to be gotten at level 60.
The majority of players I know were bored through most of Wrath. Pressing one button every time you have more than three mobs is not fun. BC Heroics were fun because if you made a sloppy pull you wiped. I remember a Rogue who failed a sap, got detected, and the three mobs beat him into a paste before he could vanish in H:Steamvault.Yes, having to CC half of every pull wouldn't be fun, but having to CC one or two mobs every three or four pulls makes everything less monotonous, and by my definition, more fun. They didn't change anything about Vanilla/TBC instances. If you ran them right now with a group that was geared mostly from quest rewards, they would be just as "difficult" as they first were. It's not "utterly ridiculous" to revamp the talent system with a new expansion. They've done it every time. The talent trees going in to TBC required 30 points to get the bottom talent, or level 40. The talent trees going in to Wrath required 40 points, or level 50. The current trees, like you said, require 50 points, or level 60. However, you now get essentially three talents just for choosing your primary tree--one of them a signature ability of the spec.Basically, my argument boils down to this: Yes, Cataclysm will be the ruination of WoW, just like WotLK and TBC before it, and every major content patch since release. The game changes; I suggest you get used to the idea.
Normally I'd agree with the issues on the talent tree. Each expansion introduced new talents, made the tree bigger, made it require higher levels for bottom talents. The problem this time around is a simple one: The tree gets smaller, and requires more time to get through....As opposed to getting larger and having the extra levels be used to get through all of it. That gives you the sense of your character not growing at a reasonable rate. I won't lie, the talent tree changes are by and all, a great thing. They streamline the options, and remove those talents that no one ever took for the most part. But you just don't get that feeling of advancement you would get now. Yes the game changes, it always has, and always will. From GCD on Windfury, to ICC being dumbed down with 10-20-30% buffs to make it more accessible(dumbed down is not always a bad thing in most cases). Gotten used to those changes long ago, just like millions others with me. Doesn't mean I can't think that some of those changes are bad, and could negatively effect the player base. I don't retract the thoughts that the first 4.1 patches very likely may be used to undo some of the major changes that are coming into effect with Cata. It's an opinion, and I am capable of having mine while respecting yours *shrug*.
hahah xD
