Bah, completely missed this, would've had some questions of my own. :(
Interesting one this time.
Hmm... good points on achievement currencies. Although, a mount of sorts should be added for lower-end (normal) BG's, but still difficult. Not "Battlemaster" tough, but then not "Win X BG easy."
There are still no Achievements beyond “Collect 75 unique companion pets”. Can I expect a reward for 100 companion pets in the future?Blizzard said:Patch 4.1 has achievements for 100 and 125 companions. Those particular achievements don’t reward pets, but we’ll probably do another reward at some tier in the future, perhaps 150 or 200 pets.WHY NOT? IT'S NOT HARD! GET 125 PETS IT'S NOT AN EASY ACHIEVEMENT!*RAGE*
Bah was hoping they might make the AB and WSG factions a little bit easier to gain rep with.
I'd like to see the achievement system become more active and dynamic, will we ever see achievements that unlock quest lines, dungeons, or other Easter egg content as a reward for dedicating so much time in Azeroth?Their answer made me very sad. =(I don't know if they realize this, but achievements ARE a chore, whether you're enjoying it or not. There's a reason people want achievements to be account-bound. Even the most fun achievement ever is only really fun the first time. I can understand not tying a dungeon to an achievement as dungeons are a significant source of gear/points. But quests? Easter egg/extra lore content? If the content unlocked by an achievement gives no significant reward (monetary or gearwise) and simply exists to enhance the player's experience, thus optional, what is the problem with having an optional achievement, as all achievements are, as the prerequisite? On this same note, I would like to see some Archaeology artifacts added with "This item starts a quest".Hmm... 'nother rant starting...It boggles my mind that Blizzard is so finicky about achievements and making sure they don't feel mandatory, yet they've no reservations against making an entire secondary profession as mandatory and chore-like as possible. You disagree on it's mandatory status? Take it up with any Alchemist or player still hunting for that damn sword and/or staff after 500+ finds (yes those are technically optional, but they sure don't feel that way). Not to mention when 4.1 comes and you find yourself in an Archaeologist-less group in ZG when that one item you really need is from the EoM event, and we'll see how mandatory Archaeology feels to you.Meanwhile, since not enough people purchased a sparkle-pony, Blizzard decided to increase Blizzcon tickets by $25 to compensate.Yes, I can has qq too.

I'm happier
I was just thinking... If they made achivements account-wide, will this mean we will get rewards from achivements on every char? For example I have 'Leading the Cavalry' achi on my hunteress. Would this mean I will get the albino drake on every other char? :)Would be great :)
I am ONE children's week achievement away from my purple proto-drake, they btter NOT change it on me! How dare people even suggest it!in any event, No suprises for me, though I have yet to catch a Q&A in time to get my questions in. *sigh*
I'm personally very, very happy they have no intention to let us 'spend' Achievement Points.
There's something to say about the Account bound Achievements. Happened a lot to me that I wanted to do BH on my alt who hasn't done it but does a merely 11k dps and has 344 iLvl but no achievement. So invites are out, cuz it's mandatory to have that achievement...Even happened previous xpac when I wanted to do some raids they said: "You don't have achievements so you don't know how to play." So I log on to my main and link them all ICC hc achievements and still no invite...I can understand from a different view that it's kina annoying for other people to do achievements like "What a strange long trip it has been" and decide to reroll their class ending up with 0 Achievement points and no longer having the Extremely hard achievements completed...I mean seriously, once you've done one of the extreme achievements ur not gonna do it again. As for this game going from hardcore to softcore to no core? This game was hardcore went to soft core and ended up no core (Each xpac is the stage) and now it's hardcore again unless you're in a great guild.Getting ur pre raid gear is already a long run, especially if u have alts or end up with a class not fit for raiding or the guild doesn't need another hunter...Finally getting epics, outside the expensive craft gear, is also very hard to get.Pvp is exactly the same. If you have under 2k resi u don't stand a chance and get nuked down in less than 10 secsBut to get to the 2k resi you need at least 100 games and that's just the blue gear...after that it's time for arena and face the fact that ur not that good atall and get pwned 7 out of 10 times.Nocore? I don't think so. Soft core? Nah, I had an easier run in vanilla getting my tiers...This game has become mildy hardcore with a huge crack created to divide the casual players from the hard core raiders/pvp-ers.I'm just saying
TL;DR Nah, we don't really plan on adding anything other than a search feature to achievements. Sorry, guys!
to the question : Will we ever see a "search" feature in the achievement window? That's a lot of achievements to search through if you're looking for something specific.the answer is the addon overachiever found at http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/overachiever.aspx
