You know, thinking back to the original LotR movie (And this is going WAY WAY back, not the last release. I think around 1978ish it was released.) I wonder if the mix will be that amazing. The ringwraths in that movie were a combo of real life actors and animation, and they were terrifying in a way that no other ringwraths have captured. And I include the last set of movies where they were good, but they were just missing something to push it over the edge.On the other hand I've seen some CGI and RL mixes that just made me roll my eyes in how pathetic they are. I just hope this stays on the good side of things, and not the 'what were they thinking?' side. But there's a thin line between the two sides sometimes.
Thank you for giving us all this coverage I'd never be able to know what was in WoD without it! :D
3-D or 2-D, which would be better ?
It's nice to have key individuals involved in the production of this movie also be fans of the game. This gives me confidence that the movie will be true to Warcraft.
I am so excited for the expansion. Everything I have seen so far is wonderful.
cant w8 for the new expansion rly. good job as always.
It s about time that wow make their appearance to some other class of society. People who dont actually play video game do not appreciate gamer who love Rpg game. They dont think wow is worth playing and they don't take their time to realize how awesome this game is. This movie will not only change their mind but also their view point for wow player. I hope the movie dont suck and make this worse
I am buying tickets to go see this the second it hits. Seeing a fantasy like this on the big screen would be epic. This would be really nice rep for Blizzard!
yes movie. I want to see the trailer. hope its Epic!
Warcraft movie has been considered a troll for a long time and now its confirmed :D. I hope they do a good job on it, a lot of video game inspired movies are disappointing.
Rather than basing the story on the WoW timeline, use the strong lore storyline from Warcraft III. Or just take the CGI intros & cutscenes, and stretch those out for two hours. Epic movie: sorted.
I dont like wait :D
I think its really interesting that they want the main "character" to be the world itself, there is so much lore they can do and incorporate the world in too but I HAVE NO IDEA what'll be the best story line to see! Blizzard has always been so good with their WoW lore and just to see it on film is a masterpiece to me, blockbuster or not.
Is it odd that I found it satisfying that the most relevant thing I found in this post is "We have someone fleshing out Orcish?"
I'm still not sure CGI is up to the standards necessary to bring Warcraft to life, but I'd sure love to see them try!
I don't quite like the idea of a World of Warcraft movie, but it's interesting to see what's going to happen as long as it doesn't end up being like the Assassin's Creed "movie".
