Lmao its a game, get over it, who cares if everyone has maxed ring, it ISNT REAL. lol.I can imagine hardcore raiders in real life, who drive 2nd hand cars and see guys in sports cars and say OMG I WANT but don't have a job :(
does this also upgrade the proc on the legendary ring as it is upgraded or can you only upgrade it when you hit the maximum lvl through the quest line?
Ultimately yes it is the right thing to do to recognize that a video game item doesn't carry over to being valuable in your life outside of the game. By nature when people play any game they get absorbed into its imaginary rules and values accept them for the time being as their world and escapism reality. So it makes sense that people would get immersed into the game world and find very real connections of worth to these items. Shunning them for going through that is not the right thing to do. It would be like me laughing at you finding value in a scene in a movie. The scene isn't real or really happening but you're still attached to it and find value in it. In general the way you tried to make fun of other players there in that post is inappropriate and you should stop disrespecting other people like that. People who raid hard who don't have their lives together are not that way because of WoW. They are that way because they have some issues balancing their lives and you should be respectful of them. Making fun of others who are having trouble balancing their lives is very inhumane. If you don't mind me saying, that post is a very detached cold perspective to be taking over a game you're supposed to be heavily immersed in. So you're saying nobody should care about the items they worked very hard to get? Tell that to the thousands of videos of players cheering over their rare drops. Of course these items mean something. If they meant nothing that would detract a lot from the enjoyment of the game. Making rare popular items accessible like this detracts from their value immensely because that difficulty was one of the main points in why they were considered so valuable. The difficulty if done correctly ties to making you more focused and immersed in what you are doing. Not just the difficulty itself but the mountains of sentimental value going into going after these items also plays a role in adding value because of that difficulty. If I used your detached uncaring logic I would laugh at everybody camping weeks for a time lost protodrake because "Its just a different colored drake, who cares its just a game i'll ride a regular drake mount. Means the same thing to me" You honestly sound like you're burned out from WoW and might need a break or something. For the record I could buy a sports car if I wanted. Making money is a skill or hobby like anything else. Also i'm very sad to see that blizzard is still taking this course of making things extremely accessible and easy for others. You've gutted out a lot of sentimental value in enjoying this game by doing that. I recommend instead to return the difficulty to normal or make it even harder than it ever has been, and then make the main priority this. Work on making the game more approachable for new players at that difficulty. Maybe put some more stuff like the proving grounds in to level up players to deal with the difficulty with raw skill or find ways to get them in touch with resources or players that can help them learn to play the game well. Or something like this.Just an idea.If the players who complain about the difficulty are still there then just presume they will be "drive by" players who try the game out and realize they're just not the kind of person who would be interested in playing that kind of videogame. By making the game easier you're essentially welcoming a new audience of unappreciative players who don't really want to enjoy the game very much at the expense of watering the game down in a multitude of unsatisfying ways for the majority of the players that enjoy it as it used to be, which is most of us. Its not the right way to try and make more money on your game. Just go back to trying to make the game incredible and you will have enough buyers to keep WoW alive forever
*does happy dance*Words cannot describe how happy I am right now. Most of my guild got fed up with WOD & there aren't enough of us around to do HFC properly. So with this I can actually upgrade my ring. Happy days!
No, you can buy as many as you can afford.
This is nice change, I quess that reason for this is solely that ppl have way to dump their excess valor like I did, getting ring upgrades (4 a week (1 from archi + with valor is nice)) since that gives you decent ring when legion comes, if multispec, then for all specs :D
I don't know why some ppl are upset about this. It's not like us "non-raiders" will catch up to you in a week. Much less at all. Don't forget the rest of your gear is still better. Some of us can not raid due to work schedules. This change is good for us. We will not catch up to you if you do raid, so don't let it bother you. You will still out-gear us, and we are going to have to do a LOT of little tedious things to get this much valor anyway. Just look at it like this: We have to work for it too, just in a different way than you. Thank you Blizz, I'm very excited for this, and all you buzz-kills need to chill out.
The casual in me says "If they're paying, they should get it"The person in me who plays to play the game for a rewarding experience and sense of accomplishment in me says "oh, they're practically getting the fel for valor with minimal effort? Oh well; lessening the pointless grind makes my getting the ring a long time ago no less special to me".The elitest in me says "legendary. LEGENDARY, BLIZZARD."The realist in me says "who cares? It's the end of the worst xpac with the worst 'legendary' ever (yes, even the temporary legendaries from the KJ fight trump the ring imo), and it's strictly for the sense of 'accomplishment' at this point."
