Fel rush should be up there: changed from a 0.25s gcd to a 0.5s gcd
What the difference between fire mages, affli locks and other classes/specs? Why they don't have GCD on their bursts, while others do?
So they're putting stuff on the GCD because they want people to be able to see the spell animations that they have worked on? Yeah because that is so important when downing mythic bosses is how you looked doing it.
Corpse Shield 1.5s Blighted Rune Weapon 1.5sThose abilities were removed......SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO?
Shield of Vengeance and Crusade should be under their own Ret section instead of Prot :)
This already feels like the expansion we are losing the most (common artifact traits, golden artifact traits, legendaries, set bonuses, artifact skills) and only seem to be gaining azerite armor which we have yet to fully see. I understand the change and I don't mind how it feels on beta but they have to do something about the community perception at this point. I think if they just started with offensive cooldowns for now and left utility/defensives off the GDC until a future patch or even expansion it would help a lot.
They really should combine some of these abilities. Let's take Arcane as an example. Arcane Power with Charged Up does the same as my Monk's Serenity, but is split into two cooldowns, even though Arcane has more abilities. It makes me not want to play Arcane.
Hand/Light of the Protector going on the GCD is going to be a big hit for prot when it comes to a quicktime response to taking a massive hit. We will end up sitting there holding the GCD during high damage moments just incase we need to use it. I can deal with a lot of things going on the GCD but this is stupid, atleast for Protadins.ps. Shield of Vengeance & Crusade are both Ret abilities
There is always that one thing they do to the game that just makes you consider refunding your pre-order and this is that change to me. There is no logical reason for adding anything to the GCD, especially when their whole "we want to reduce abilities you ahve to deal with on the action bar" philosophy has driven changes to classes by removing iconic spells. One can claim it is because they want to make spell visuals been seen or because they want to reduce master macros or such but thats bull, and an excuse like Blizz likes to do. The real reason is the same reason they make any kind of class change...PVP, given that this entire expansion is centered on and oriented around faction vs faction a.k.a. PVP, it makes sense to use that time as an excuse to make changes. That is why you see a lot of defensive/movement burst spells on here. GCD never made much sense to me anyway other than to prevent macros being used. If you count longer duration spells like defensive ones, it makes less sense as the longer CD governs the power and usage of the spell in a macro, not the GCD. Now in a shorter CD like 15-30 seconds, I can see adding to the GCD. Anything over 1 minute CD should remain off GCD. Hero/Lust should always stay off GCD, there is no logical reasoning for putting it on GCD, you have a 5 min CD with a global 10 min debuff...there is no excuse whatsoever to add this ability to the GCD.
Made a few updates confirming we have the very latest changes! New Unholy info.
wtf, if frost dk wasn't a dead spec already it will be...
Whoever decided to put Prot and bears self healing on a 1.5s GCD should be fired.
Why is Aspect of the Wild 1.3s? That's a very odd cooldown, and it seems to be alone.
(This was supposed to be a response to VijoPlaysOnYT. Stupid browser!) You are entitled to your opinion.- Animations: yeah, not a good reason IMO- Offensive GCDs + Macro stacking: not the strongest reason, but I agree. Still, what's stopping someone from using a /castsequence macro? Are those being removed?- Meaningful choice: This is an important reason. If one can do both the defensive and offensive action, and both are valid choices, the correction option is probably both - but then there is no decision.- Off-GCD spread: Yup, there's a lot of things of the GCD these days. I'm curious which class has 10 things off the GCD right now.I'd also like to see tooltip indicators on all abilities that are Off the GCD. Being 'off the GCD' should be special and clearly noted. Lay on Hands is special. Icy Flows (mage talent to allow cast while moving, IIRC) is special. Your off of GCD abilities should be emergency responses, not default rotationals. On the flip side, I'd REALLY like to see more 'cast while moving' abilities.
Even racials? Well, the Arcane Torrent is useless anyway now, so it may as well get GCD... But Berserking? An ability that literally just hastens other abilities for 10 seconds? Now they effectively lowered its duration to 8.5 seconds. And also it doesn't feel very right. You'd expect that an ability that makes you cast faster would... make you cast faster. But now, after using it, you must wait, which actually slows you down.Wait a minute... I am not entirely sure about the math here... but isn't a 8.5 second period of 15% increased casting speed actually equal to 10 second period of normal casting speed? I mean, if the casts that would normally take you 10 seconds are cast 15% faster, it means that now they take you only 8.5 seconds. If that's true, then trolls are the only race who's active racial ability does literally nothing (and that's only if you time it right to it's full benefit, otherwise it actually hinders you because of the GCD). And if the math works in such a way that you actually still do get some benefit, then (I think) that when you take the the bonus speed and subtract the GCD, it will amount to something like 1% or 2% increased effectiveness. Which is very lousy considering it's an active spell. And I think that applies to all spells that give you haste for a very short time like 10 seconds.
