the economy is dead bro. stop trying to defend it. it is stagnant. auctin house flooded with current enchants being sold for less than the matts required to make them.you keep making these reports about the health of the wow economy, but you fail to take into account that no offense, no really cares. they are either not intelligent enough to understand such basic things or they are just trollish losers who feel they can sell something for whatever they want.the mentality of the average wow player is basically thatsell something.they don't care to think about the actual value of an item, or whether they are making profit.they just see their bags or inventory are sold.they do not check market valuethey just post something on the auction house and hope it sells.they do not understand wow has a living breathing economy, and that they are pretty much destroying it.either they try to sell something for more than it is actualy worthor they are trying to sell something for less than it is actually worththat is reality. i feel bad for you that you take the time to make these weekly reports.makes me cry that you dedicate time out of your life to try and help people in this game and that it is all in vain.wish you the best.
i basically just make the enchants to level my profession and then hand them out for free. people ask me why, and i ramble on and on trolling everyone sarcastically hoping they will catch on and change..i tell these people at 9g a piece they are worthless; that i basically make 9g every time i fart. they try to pay me and i refuse their money..THAT IS THE REALITY OF THE STATE OF THE ECONOMY. sorry you do not see reality. only things that actually sell are matts, battle pets and some mounts. most of which are from old content.
At the beginning of a new Xpac there are new realities. Old opportunities close, new opportunities open. No use grousing about it, like some of the replies to this thread seem to be doing. If you can't see what to do, then level alts and farm mats--and just have fun. Wait for the new realities to become apparent. See if you can find a niche.
For me this expansion launch isn't different than any other. Crafted things pretty much always sell for less than mats. Maybe people don't experience that on less populated realms, but on my super high pop realm this isn't anything new.I'm surprised whenever something(that is easy to craft) sells for a profit.
I have made a few millions in Legion, but I found things to not be the same at all now. Easy 20k for some ore is not happening. It may have a number of reasons though mostly because are still pretty stupid. They consider their time as free and will undercut themselves by large swathes. Not one copper, but 5 or 10 gold, and the NEXT person will undercut by ANOTHER five or ten gold.I don't think I'll make nearly as much as last time without obliterum to prop things up, but I'll just use the lowering of prices from the influx of persons and buy six or more months while the tokens are cheap and not worry much more. Gold is not much needed anyway.
So why the hell are tokens so cheap now? At the beginning of legion token prices went almost double up in a day or 2.
The other way around, dude. Tokens at the start of legion went down to 60k. I should have bought bags of them but instead only bought them as I needed them each month and they went up and up until we were paying 250k at some point. Now it was 300k before BfA launched.
I agree the wow economy isn't dead, it's just in a state of flux, this happens every xpac. If you can't deal with the flux, then wait it out and farm mats. I've made quite a bit of gold so far, I also bought a bunch of wow tokens since they are way down. Honestly last Xpac I made millions from selling WOD armor. I have no idea why people were buying it, but they were. If you don't know how to deal with the rapid changes, then just sit on the sidelines till it calms down. I mean the auction house game is always a bit of a gamble, the only real sure thing is mats, they almost always sell, everything else is a patience game. If you don't have patience, this is the perfect opportunity to learn it.
Umm. Max level crafting gear sells every well and very high. Both normal and heroic dungeons have item level requirements. ... did he even play the game? The rest of the article seems fine
As someone mentioned, it's probably Mueh'zala or some entity we haven't heard of.

Too bad the AH sucks
If you're trying to make gold of enchanting right now, you're facing an uphill battle to begin with. With no raids/mythic + available, very few people are going to be looking to buy the expensive, top quality enchants. The lesser quality, leveling ones are cheap to make and with how costly leveling enchanting is at the moment, people to try to get as many skill points out of the early recipies as possible. Just sit tight and have patience :D
My first post here, and I have four questions;1. Around Beta time I read somewhere of some sort of room only accessible to people who made 10 million gold or more. Anyone know more about this, and whether it even exists?2. Does anyone know of a good spreadsheet, preferable a Numbers one for Apple, which can be used to keep track of your AH finances? 3. Has anyone made a TSM4 string yet with all the new, cageable battle pets yet? (This is what I have made millions upon millions of gold with, btw). 4. Is there data on how many people have the brontosaurus AH mount, world wide or per region? I’m curious because I bought mine right away, but between me and my wife playing quite a bit, we haven’t seen anyone else with it so far. Thanks guys, and thanks for this awesome blog!
Excellent news on tokens. It makes them much more worth buying - if prices haven't risen yet.I'm glad to hear that there are still people who haven't played much of the new content. I always feel left behind when I hear and see so many people at max level so soon after an expansion is released. I was shocked to see Darkmoon decks being advertised in trade on day 2. Even now, I'm only level 111, and don't expect to reach level 120 for a good few weeks. Some of us do have work and families!I'm interested to know predictions for oldschool mats - is there going to be much demand for herbs, ore and enchanting mats?

Heroic dungeons requiring a 305 ilvl helped me make 4 million gold since launch... Those crafted PvP blues that he scoffed at were being sold for 15k each on my server minimum and upwards of 50-75k if proc'd to purple. Couple that with cheap means of scrapping greens to get expulsom and people are just not looking hard enough to make gold. Not to mention the insane opportunity to flip trade goods from undercutters.
