starting to wonder if N´zoths prison is closer to Tirisfal glades, or silverpine forest, considering he seems to be quite close to uldaman on the map, and when the well blew up his prison most likely did shift also, this would also explain why the elfs when crazy arround that area, in a way the distance could be right, I do think he is close to that area, underwater most likely.
You ignore another hypothesis.Blizzard will pull a bull%^&* explanation on us.Assuming the Sundering didnt move his prison , his prison would be where your article points out but 2 events happened that could have caused 2 of his chain to break and the last one left is the one we see in the Eternal Palace.Assuming his chains are anchored in 3 places then 2 of them broke. One chain broke at the Sundering , a 2nd one in Cataclysm and the last one now.Azeroth bled at each one of them this leads me to belive that the blood of a titan is very corosive to the material used for the chains.Either way , if Blizzard will deliver an asspull like N'zoth being beneath or near the Maelstorm I am instantly unsubbing.........it is the last straw if they retcon even the power scales of the Old Gods.I am sick of retcons.
It is extremely stupid to have N'zoth being under the Well of Eternity, considering said well was created by Aman'thul ripping out Y'shaarj. Leaving behind a massive wound that would've killed baby Azeroth if it wasn't sealed up. Having N'zoth under the WoE means that N'zoth was under Y'shaarj, which would be extremely impossible since Y'shaarj was described as the biggest and strongest of the Old Gods that landed on Azeroth (hence why Aman'thul did what he did). As I always say, the only thing blizzard is being consistent with is being inconsistent.
I honestly think it makes more sense that Azshara moved the location of Nazjatar. It would make a lot more sense, considering N'Zoth's prison is surrounded by massive Titanic pillars with chains descending into the depths. I don't believe she has the power to relocate the prison, but her "city" I think she could move. Along with tectonic activity and also the Cataclysm. There is a reason she wanted Neptulon's trident and also other water based artifacts.
Read this article earlier and while doing my dailies just a moment ago i checked the map and upon closer inspection im pretty sure i could see outlines in between Kul Tiras and Zandalar in the sea, where this article speculates the prison of N'zoth to be or Nazjatar? Or am i just seeing things?https://imgur.com/a/h2gxWJg
I bet the "prison" that is at the end of the raid actually holds N'zoth's brain, and when the chains break, that's what allows him to rise up to the surface and begin the Black Empire. Knowing Blizzard, they will probably end the expansion with us fighting Sylvanas, but instead of killing her, we end up killing the last of her Valkyr, and then she realizes that she's unable to enact her 'diabolical plan' and save herself from death, she figures out that she was a pawn for N'zoth the whole time and she kills herself. And the next expansion begins with The Return of the Black Empire.Or who knows? Maybe the Void Lords have been watching us the whole time and they send ten more Old Gods raining down from the Great Dark to test our mettle.
If you ask me, there is no error or contradiction in whichever location N'Zoth is being currently held in.You fail to mention that Eternal palace is not like ICC which towers vertically. It is a network of subterranean caverns! This means that the final place where you see the bubble dome and chain is not at the location where you enter but must be somewhere else. Nazjatar as a zone is somewhat northwest of the Eye or Maelstrom and it is said that Azshara has to deactivate the titan device which frees N'Zoth from his prison and that chains is one of the chains which is a master mechanism that goes through the depths which controls other more network of chains that runs across grat seas.N'Zoth is a Nautilus which have several appendages, head and heart. His prison is like a cage.
I imagine Nzoth being a kraken like entity with its main body being in prison between Zandalar and Kultiras but him being able to get his tentacles out of the prison after thousands of years, starting to reach out across the entire globe. Growing, over time, and at this point his reach is so wide that there could be some tentances near the well, and at the same time many other places across Azeroth.
I've always thought that the old gods themselves are much larger than we ever see. Yogg-Saron extended over nearly all of Northrend didn't he? It's not impossible to think that tendrils of N'zoth extend over a massive area.
