I would love to stay in Burning Crusade, where all my spell ranks still live. It'll be important to see how many people stick around after Classic's initial excitement wave first.
That feeling when you have to re-release all of your old expansions in order to finish milking your game.
MoP server please! That's the ONLY "Classic" server I care even a little bit about.
no thank you. I am more interested in where the story leads, not where its been. Been there. Done that. Next!
The next Xpac needs to be the last cause the story has played itself out and clearly Blizz thinks so too.Nostalgia will help keep the game in the money for decades to come but as for the main game then it is on serious life support.Nearly everyone of any importance will be dead by the end of BfA and Blizz has nothing left up there sleeve to keep it going so it makes no financial sense to have there A-Team working on a game that is finished. Its best just to end it with the next xpac and just coast on it for decades while Blizz works on the next best thing.
please, legion once again!
I would love to revisit Wrath.
I'm not sure how many people have mentioned it, but the best thing about their willingness to explore other kinds (albeit legacy at this point) of realms is the possibility of us convincing Blizz that they went the wrong direction with storyline and world changes - maybe we can get them to make an alternate timeline? THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!
i am ok with it if they use A new engine!just imagine how can be cool play wow (wow2) again with new engine!
I also am curious how long people will stick with classic servers. One or two times of having to trek all the way back to a city to visit a class trainer, or the realization that mounts and bags cost more gold than you can farm in a month. There were no tokens in vanilla, so they shouldn’t have them in classic either. Make people grind and farm and level weapon skills for real. I remember looting several high level (blue) one handed swords on my mage, but my skill in swords was too low to equip them. Epics were truely a rare find... and ledgendaries were really 1-2 per server if even that high. When they do classic they’ll have to do it right... or else it will just be new coke...
I think everyone disagreeing with this and saying it will "fragment" the population is ridiculous. It would be beneficial to have a vanilla, BC, and Wrath server. There would still be generous populations for each set of content and might ultimately prove which is the most beloved.
I hope so... I rlly prefer tbc than classic.
I'ver been waiting for a BC server since midway through Wrath, so this is just what I've been waiting to hear. That it is not being dismissed out of hand is great news.To those of you who say that legacy devotees have selective memories, you have got it completely wrong. It is precisely because we remember what it was like, warts and all, that we want to go back. BC and Wrath servers should be more popular than Vanilla, because they are the expansions that used to win polls on favorite expansions.
I hope you'll release CATA also, I'm a big fan of CATA <3
