/yawn. Who didn't see this coming?
OMG YAS! I was waiting for this since BtS! :'D thanks!
NooooooooooooooooShould just put Lilian as boss
Wow. As a lore nerd and a Forsaken player, this upsets me... more than I can put into words. They've completely erased all the good options for leadership for the Forsaken - Lillian, a possible new council, etc - to... re-institute a monarchy? And have them be lead by people with no ties to the Forsaken as a people? This is such a bad writing decision. Just bad, bad writing. Voss being reluctant would be understandable - but have Calia encourage her! Have Calia come and be an advisor on how to handle the issues of a population! Make it a council - Voss, Calia, Derek, maybe others. But don't do this, wiping out all remaining Forsaken themes, characters, decent storylines. I really hope they just. Completely change this. I'm hoping its a red herring like Wrathion in Legion. Please. Not to mention. She is the SISTER OF THE MAN WHO BROUGHT THE PLAGUE IN THE FIRST PLACE. THIS IS HORRIBLE.
Meanwhile Turalyon is like "Lordaeron, eww"
I may be reading too much into it, but it sounds more like Voss is going to be the forsaken representation on the council while Calia and Derek are going to be helping new Forsaken adjust to undeath.
Sylvanas was at first looking out for the Forsaken over all else, after our home was destroyed by the scourge. But in recent years since her multiple deaths all she cared or could think about was saving herself and she has. She's abandoned us too after all these years and she's not coming back. Remember who we once were. We were proud members of not the Alliance but Lordaeron. Lordaeron is our true identity. Arthas took that from us and now his sister Calia the true Queen of the Forsaken can maybe bring us back home after all these long years of being Forsaken.
These 2 to 'lead' the forsaken? This is bollocks
The writing is on the wall. This is leading to the end of the Horde/Alliance faction barrier.
Why would they join the horde? Ugh... my god
There is precedent for a Horde leader to be friendly with the Alliance, such as Baine, Thrall, Lor'themar and even Vol'jin. But to have a Alliance member to lead the most vicious and cruel Horde race will be... weird, unless they remove the factions altogether. I had this idea once, that IMO, factions should be a PvP-only thing: the Horde and Alliance always band together to face a greater evil. Lore-wise, there is no raid made of Alliance or Horde only. There were Horde AND Alliance heroes fighting against Deathwing, Archimonde, Kil'Jaeden, Argus and Azshara. It's reasonable that Horde and Alliance could group together to do PvE content, such as dungeons and raids. In open world, faction should matter for those that turned on Warmode, because even in times of truce, there has been always skirmishes of Horde and Alliance attacking each other.
That's ... kind of interesting? I mean, the nelves wouldn't touch the Nightborne or the Belves because of their addictions and poor Zelling's family outright rejected him (as was the case with the majority of Forsaken, especially the original crop raised by the Plague and not the val'kyr), so it's safe to assume Derek and Calia would be shunned by the larger part of the Alliance populace, royal/noble ties or no.Though I'm loling forever at Lillian's entire Cata backstory getting retconned.
No one wants this. they should make Lilian Voss the new leader if the Forsaken.
Also Calia becoming the leader is not surprising at all. I expected her to become the new Forsaken leader since she was revealed and I don't really mind. She's a woman of Lordaeron, just like a lot of the Forsaken. Though it is annoying that the Forsaken got yet another leader that doesn't look like them. No exposed bones and whatnot.
