Is proofreading and editing too much to ask for these?
Wait... the Horde council stuff is in game? I allied with Sylvanas... Saurfang got killed... and that was it, right? Whats all this Calia and lillian stuff? Nothing happened afterwards and no quests appeared.I am so lost with this story! A feeling that I think a lot of people have had every time there has been a patch this expansion lol.
Calia is the sole surviving heir to lordaeron, which is the big ruined city that undercity is beneath and the kingdom that was destroyed by the scourge. Given how hereditary monarchies work, she has every ability to stake a claim to to the lands there and rally a bunch of people to her cause. She's been in novels as far back as 2008 and in game since 2016. She was one of the major characters in before the storm and her resurrection was a major point in the priest order campaign in Legion.Which was a serious problem with the way Legion was designed, as they put significant story elements that people who don't play a lot of alts will miss entirely in almost every class, just as the wrap up for the storyline here was segregated between players who sided with sylvanas and players who didn't. It's not a big deal for folks who just... read wikis or articles like this one.
How can they call this the Fourth War? You only ever see a few small skirmishes and special ops stuff and that's it. All the supposedly big war that is happening throughout all of Azeroth is only told in... follower missions descriptions. It definitely doesn't feel like a world war. There are many, many questlines and events in Classic, Cataclysm and Mists of Pandaria that actually feel like an actual war between the two factions, yet the invisible conflict in BfA is considered the Fourth War, a war like none other since Warcraft III with the Third War.Blizzard has made many mistakes in the last few expansions, but they definitely jumped the shark with Battle for Azeroth in both gameplay and lore... And Shadowlands isn't looking much better, if at all, with the next to no new features announced and all the lore implications.
@perculiaAmazing reading and tons of great stuff to discover. I am on a journey to read all the wow books.Wowhead is growing exponentially and this type of article gets lost quite quickly. Why there is nowhere a link to previous lore articles or a place where this could be somehow organized?I want to read it from the beginning, but I just can't find a way to do so.
