Oh boy, oh boy, gamepad support :D I just need some time to get used to it. Overall satisfied. Maybe I will stream leveling trough zones using gamepad :p pic.twitter.com/Upn7c3p26X— Stiven ⛏ (@Stiven_SRB) May 3, 2020

Playing with a Playstation/Xbox style controller also doesn't really get the point from an accessibility standpoint. Many of the "controllers" that are used by folks who don't have the ability to use keyboard+mouse are very different from what most might think of when they hear "game pad", its just that the fundamental support for them is the same.
Pretty excited for some native support, I don't need to use a controller but I love the idea of playing WoW in bed. This is also really great for people that don't have the motor skills required for a keyboard. These types of accessibility options only further help those who need it and bring new people to the game that wouldn't have played otherwise. Perhaps this support can work with the adaptive controller from Microsoft? Or maybe the support is already possible, I'm not sure how it works.
If the loot works the same way as the loot in Assassin's Creed Odyssey (step over a corpse and hit Y button to loot) I'll give it a chance.
I agree with you "controller FFS Blizzard."
I'm hoping this is a good addition to the options in WoW, though I do wonder if we'll have enough binds for everything. Seems like macros will be very, very important to controller play in order to cut down on the number of keybinds.
Good work Blizzard for continuing to support gamers of all kinds, including those with disabilities.
I have 20+ spells I need to press, how do you want to do that on a controller?
The Steam controller works amazingly for WoW, too bad they stopped making them. It works perfectly out of the box too with its own software and the trackpads are perfect for looting things and managing quests and inventory. The shoulder buttons even feel like mouse clicks.
It's nice to see the devs take time and effort to cater to those less able to use a keyboard and mouse. Not all content has to be about me.
i like it, seems like it could be a nice thing for leveling and farming :)
Bellular made a video showcasing how to play WoW like a console game back in 2018 if anyone is wondering how it might work https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgvmDMBv6co
unless you can do the equivalent of mouseover then a controller will always be sub-standard to a mouse and keyboard, also they are adding back alot more spells to classes in shadowlands, goodluck trying to bind those all to a controller.
Looked awkward using a controller to control the mouse to interact with objects... If only you could utilize the touch pad on the Dual Shock 4 controller... :(
Gonna be fun killing these people while they "keyboard turn" since there is no way theyre gonna be able to quick turn like you can with a mouse and keyboard.
here comes console wow omegalels
Nooooooo! April fools was last month!
I wonder if it'll work with a foot operated controller for an extra couple of keybinds ...
