I might just quit the game just because of this...
To me, the goldmaking community is a group of people who don't play WoW, but instead horde a game resource. They spend a good deal of time devoted to this. Players engaged in playing the game in just about any other way are forced to either spend additional time playing the AH or play more hours farming. I applaud this decision.
Most of the hate in this thread going towards goblins comes from people not having a clue of how the AH, TSM and the wow economy works. As much as I hate this 'hotfix' as it slows down my posting quite a bit, it offered up tremendious chances to control markets even better, so thx for that I guess. In fact, what the hotfix did do on almost all of the realms I play on, is clearing out those casual people tryharding the longboi (at least for this first day) and i truely feel bad for them. The hotfix is probably the most direct incentive of multiboxing Blizz has ever patched into their game.
How about we get a better optimized game instead of breaking LITERALLY everything else eh? There's bugs in this damn game that have'nt changed since they were originally found...EXPANSIONS AGO! Dumbest use of resources and time imaginable by a multi-billion dollar company.
The amount of people in these replies who think that less competition and undercutting is going to somehow lower prices is absolutely staggering. I cannot even begin to figure out how you think reducing supply while maintaining demand would reduce prices, or even stagnate, prices. Also, this change only hurts the average Joe trying to get into the AH. I have 2 alt accounts running at all times on separate monitors dedicated to auctions while I play my main. This change literally has no effect on me or my posting, it simply made it a bit more of a pain in the ass having to tap a reload/logout macro every now and then when cancelling auctions. People who try to post materials/crafts/battle pets/etc. on their single account? Yeah, have fun sitting there for 2 hours. And those like me will have instantly undercut you regardless, and now your cancel timer is at 3 minutes, which you have to sit there twiddling your thumbs waiting for the throttle timer to wear off.But the whole mental gymnastics of less posts would somehow reduce inflation is beyond me.Luckily the post changes got somewhat reverted.
