You complain about things being "forced" as though many of the straight romances aren't very "forced" such as Jaina x Kalecgos, whereas Mathias X Flynn actually works and is so far well written, and they even aren't major lore characters either.
I never saw the bastion thing as trans, that seemed like a stretch to me. Like, most people I know believe in the afterlife you don't have a gender. Spirits are spirits. So to say that because they changed gender in what is essentially heaven makes them trans? I don't think so. Same goes for people who believe in reincarnation, that means you would have been the opposite gender before, as if that matters to a spirit. But if this really is trans inclusion then that's fine I guess. I would much rather it be in the afterlife to explain it. You cannot explain a trans character in a medieval universe. We already have to suspend disbelief and pretend that the WoW universe would be accepting unlike real life, which I really don't think it would be. People in the WoW universe seem to be worse humans than we are lol.
Not sure why this is an issue to so many...it is a fantasy game and this doesn't go against any of the lore or stories ingame after all. Gender politics aside, does this really matter? We have X-species relationships ingame already (ie Gnome and Goblin from mechagon questline) so why is same sex/gender relationships bad?
There's a tragic straight wedding in Drustvar.
I blame Netflix's forced inclusion of lgbtq stuff into every one of their projects for the arising feeling, that every single potentially sincere attempt at inclusivity now feels forced and empty and just like a way to generate brownie-points for companies
RemovedThat aside, good to see more types of people being represented in Warcraft. It's a lot more true to life.
well having read the interview, there's honestly nothing earth shattering in it. they reiterate their commitment to diversity and explains why they did what they did... which we've already read in other blue postsit's not like they are making romance a central part of the main quest or anything. just (random?) NPCs off hand mentioning they are in a same sex relationship
I'm really excited for that Ardenweald storyline.
LGBTQP+2 what does this mean

I didn’t read a thing, only saw the title. Wanted to say that this is good.
