Strong pass from me, had one (the original), replaced the switch on it few times (left click double clicking issue everyone has, btw its like a quid for a bunch of switches and easy to repair few screws and 3 joints to unsolder is all.) . Eventually though it did fully give out and i got a g600. I did not like the buttons on my g600 though so i gave it to my partner and got myself the corsair mouse. Corsairs iCue software sucks but the mouse feels amazing with its mechanical side buttons (something i don't think any other 12 button mouse offers!). I am seriously considering getting one of those generic Chinese ones now (ultrafire, red dragon, trust etc etc). The software on them is tolerable, the shape is fine (can get original naga shaped ones what imo is the best shaped mouse ever produced) and buttons are not worse/better than on a g600 or naga. (brother has one tried it, think it was ultrafire or something) . It's a shame iCue from corsair is so trash because the mouse is near perfection other than the paint flaking from the side buttons. TL;DR Get something like a red dragon or another Chinese produced mouse (internals are basically all the same pick the shape that suits your hand best), If you are comfortable soldering then a naga is alright (the older ones at least). Switches are as little as 10p each and take no more than 10 mins to swap out when they die.
Personally, I prefer a keypad; they're game changing. They have a palm rest and a ton of keys right at your fingertips, that are much easier to manage than a full size keyboard. The Razer Tartarus is a good entry level pad, but I use the Razer Orbweaver now because I prefer mechanical over membrane. I've been using a keypad since the days of the Belkin Nostromo in the early 00's.I've tried the mmo mice, but it's tough to manage such tiny buttons with my thumb. I always ended up pressing the wrong one in the heat of battle.
Yeah, really needing that levelling edge... :DWould have made more sense if the mouse was actually Shadowlands themed, but this is just a sad sponsored article.
I've owned 2 naga's both had the same issue, the piece of plastic that actuates the button for the mouse click wears away leaving a button-shaped piece missing from the plastic which at worst won't register your attempts to click or if it does its a double click. No idea if they use better materials as I won't risk it at the price they ask. (It was around the launch of Diablo 3 I lost the first one, so much left-clicking!) I then had a corsair scimitar which out of the box was a pain, where the naga defaulted the extra keys to use the same as a number pad on a keyboard the scimitar needs to either be configured using their software (each key individually) or you can find profiles to import into the software. Not a bad mouse after that the adjustable position of the extra buttons were a great addition, however, the side buttons just died one day and couldn't get them to respond. As others have stated here the Logitech G600 is a great MMO mouse (if you can find one in the EU), The extra buttons are set to the number pad by default so can be used out of the box, the mouse has its own internal memory so you can install the software configure the buttons how you like, save it to the mouse and then uninstall the software and when you take the mouse to another computer/upgrade all your settings are just there. The ring finger button can be set to ctrl/shift/alt effectively giving you double the side buttons. I know I sound like I'm shilling for Logitech but it has been consistently a great mouse. The only issue is they can be tricky to find in the EU anywhere (at a non-inflated price anyway, should be looking to pay around £60).
The buttons on it look horrible and poorly designed. I use the Corsair Scimitar. It has 2 rows of textures and a notch on button 5
Razer products are overpriced trash btw. I have had 2 naga and both have buttons that stopped working within a year. I bought this offbrand one from Amazon almost 3 years ago and it has worked perfectly ever since with more customizablity, and 1 more button. Most importanatly, it is a FRACTION of the price of a naga. 30$. Do yourself a favor and give this one a shot, you won't regret it like you will a razer.https://www.amazon.com/UtechSmart-Precision-Programmable-Computer-Recommendation/dp/B00FNKMVUO/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=utech+venus&qid=1607349929&sr=8-3
I've used the Naga, G600, and Scimitar. Naga side buttons are my least favorite. G600 is a brick that's uncomfortable because I prefer a semi-claw grip to flat handing mice. G600 also has the worst sensor of the bunch and side buttons aren't mechanical. Scimitar is the best of the bunch despite the common mouse wheel click failure. Best side buttons and ergonomics. Ideally all these would be adjustable width like the Roccat Nyth which unfortunately has a laser sensor and is probably discontinued.

It's worth mentioning the switches on the pro are different from the Trinity - I had the Trinity before and use the Pro now and it's having no issues (the Trinity was replaced previously, I am by no means an unquestioning Razer freak or anything). I like the pro. There's lots of mice out there but the pro replaced a Logitech which had a double click issue (The G604) so actually they are all subject to a fair amount of issues in my experience. Edited to say I tried a Corsair and it feels amazing but the software was pants and the button section failed to register at all after a while (replaced under warranty and the customer experience was amazing but I couldn't be bothered with iCue losing all the settings any more tbh).
How about Steelseries Rival 500 ?Anyone using? Is it better?I have cataclysm one (with many buttons) but I'm searching for a newer one...
I've used it for years then switched to Logitech G600. Never looked back. Razer is overpriced and breaks way too often. I still use my Razer Nostromo though but that is a Belkin product, not manufactured by Razer.
This mouse commercial has NOTHING to do with the "LIVE" game.I pay for premium membership to not see advertisements in Wowhead. Is there a gold membership I can buy to not see these "partnerships" in the future?
Nice advertising here, it would be even nicer if the post could be labeled as such. In any case I have only had bad experiences with any Razer products in the past, especially their mice. I'm still using my trusty G600, which is now going strong since more than two years of heavy playing - a record for gaming mice in my case. It's so good, I actually got a second one just in case for backup. The ring finger button is very handy for additional bindings, the software is okayish, I prefered the former software instead of the newer GHub one. I wish Logitech would release an updated version, keeping all the features but with a more reliable, modern sensor and mechanical side buttons.Other than that, the only reason I could see myself buying a Naga would be both my mouse would break down and the Naga being the only MMO mouse left on the market - but even then I'd most likely rather buy one of those el-cheapo asian OEM MMO mouse you can get from ebay or Amazon.
Maybe Razer should first think about timely upgrading their software. I had to re-write the code for the addon when pre=patch hit, cause the mouse became unusable. They only released addon update when SL hit.Generally there are many other alternatives out there, but out of all Razer fits my hand best, thus I am using it. But I am extremely disappointed with the addons updates.
I went to the Logictech G600 mouse after going through 3 naga mice in 3 years. It is such a better mouse, but definitely bigger, but it has lasted 3X as long than my nagas did. Also the timing of this is kinda funny, I still use the Razer Naga Addon for the UI cause its easy to set up, but there is a current bug that if you put your heart of azeroth in your bank it disables bars, vehicle exit button and aura bar, like they dont even show. Only way to fix it is change the code in the addon or put the heart of azeroth back in your bag. They havent fixed it yet, its been a couple days since I replaced my neck piece and it took them several days to even get their personal addon that is for this mouse to work in game once Shadowlands launched. They should probably fix that and put more towards their addon when promoting their mouse for WoW.
