The Licence of MDT allows this:https://github.com/Tomslack/MDTImport/blob/main/MDT%20IMportAll you need to restore its functionallity
Well.. this comment section is bout to go places. I can feel it now.
Just use manbaby add on its the same thing and free
Extremely scummy move from Nnoggie, obviously. If he was expecting some sort of monetary compensation for addon development he clearly didn't read what he signed up for.I hope Blizzard takes a hardline stance one way or the other very soon; this sets an extremely bad precedent since MDT now paywalls actual addon functionality (unlike TSM) and is an extremely high-profile addon (unlike Zygor).
This guy wants to leech money from the commercial product he does not own and does not have any agreement with the owner either. He deserves ban.
How is this classified as vague? "charge for services related to the add-on". Seems pretty obvious to me that this is against Blizzard's terms.

It's a dead addon, great way to kill your brand and make your guild look bad all at the same time
I will say, the only positive outcome of this is when there's an addon void, others can come fill it. MDT had been the only addon for M+ route planning because there's been no need for others. Now, there is a need for others and developers can capitalize.
He uses data from inside the game for his addons. Mobs are data which belong to Blizzard. He is selling data which belong to Blizzard. No debate. It's against the general ToS of everyone. Also it's against Twitch ToS ! Selling any feature to gain an advantage in game or something in a game is against it. So if people report his Twitch channel he could severely lost everything he created. He already done several things similar in the past. When he is upset about something he is the kind of people who are willing to destroy everything they created just so the others won't use it. Antipathic character.I also add that if people wants to help him they don't have to have a knife under their neck.
Same thing with Youtubers. If it's not free, they are getting replaced.Maybe an alternative isn't currently available. But someone will for sure fill in the hole. These people need to remember that, just because they are popular in this point in time, they are not special, in that they can easily get replaced. It's a sad fact of the world that passion alone cannot pay bills. Remember that a successful business requires 3 things:1. a competitive advantage (expertise)2. it's something people want (demand)3. uniqueness for a sufficient period of time to make sufficient profit (patent, trademark, brand value, etc.)What these addon people don't have are #1 and #3. Their expertise is a dime a dozen (think how many programmers there are in the world -- and politicians are pushing for even more of them), and many programmers who are also gamers can reproduce a similar, alternative product. This is why this guy can barely make ends meet. This guy's from the guild that killed mythic Denathrius #2, right? It's like he's trying to monetize his addon to pay for WoW tokens to repay the tens of millions of gold of loans they took on during the race.
And that korean team spent 14 hours in 1 dungeon. I blame Nnoggie
I wouldn't mind paying for something like this if the author had calmly, kindly, and maturely explained that in order to maintain the addon, they needed charge for it. Instead we got a crybaby ranting about the community hurting his feelings. It's this attitude with him and his guildies that continually pushes their fans away. People don't accept or respond well to tirades and whining. You catch more flies with honey.
just use wowup instead of the overwatch bull!@#$ and use the "install from url" button at get addons for "https://github.com/LetsTimeIt/DungeonTools" until it gets reviewed for curse. it's better this way anyway, a community driven addon will be updated much faster.
To say that TSM operates behind a paywall is misleading and untrue. All of the features of TSM are available when you download the addon. The data that TSM itself provides is available for everyone but some players have how they personally use that data available to others behind paywalls. DBmarket remains free.
So...nothing is stopping someone from paying into the Patreon or subbing on Twitch, getting the dungeon data, and making that content public for others to import. I mean, being an Amazon Prime customer gives you a free sub to throw around each month, so it wouldn't really cost anything extra to do so. I don't think the mod author has much recourse other than begging and pleading not to do that. I mean, I suppose it could be argued there is a legal solution to that, but that'd cost them more than it's really worth.
