A drop of the lovely sowrd Destiny for me in my first run of undead Stratholm waaaaay back in "vanilla" WoW. I still have it in the bank.
My most epic loot would be the big battle bear that I'm going to win from this contest >_>
The black whelpling pet, within the first 5 whelps I killed after changing servers.
My most epic drop... well, that one is easy.Back before Burning Crusades came along (but after it was announced), I was in a semi-newly formed raiding guild. We had made it through Molten Core and AQ20 and decided to start raiding Blackwing Lair. It took us a while to get through it all, weeks of wiping in the Suppression Room and running back, not getting behind the wall quick enough on Chromaggus and dying, watching everyone else DPS while you have time to get a drink... not being able to kill the stupid Drakonids quick enough no matter how many buffs we had. But finally we did it. We killed Nefarian. Now, let me say first of all that we were Horde. Horde (in case you forgot) did not have a Paladin class at the time, but Blizzard decided - after announcing that Paladins and Shaman would be available to both sides - that they would put their drops in the game anyway. So what drops on our first Nefarian kill?Judgement BreastplateYou've never heard an entire vent channel go from shouting and whooping with glee to dead silence so fast.
My most epic drop was Delicious Cave Mold haha. In Razorfen Downs it drops and my friend and I went together through the instance. Ever since then we always joke around when we loot some Delicious Cave Mold. Delicious Cave Mold ftw lol.mmmmmmmmmm..... TASTY! =)
the most epic loot ive ever gotten was the black bow of the betrayer from illidan, its a sick bow
When Hallow's End rolled around this year, I expected it to go the same way as any other holiday event for me... I might participate in one or two of the lesser quests, but otherwise, life (and quests) would go on as usual. I wouldn't find a decent group, I wouldn't run the boss, and thus, I wouldn't get the really good loot. Then, the second day of Hallow's End, one of my friends whispers me, asking "Who's the Headless Horseman?" Lo and behold, someone I KNEW made a great group-member, and he'd never even HEARD of the boss before, much less run it! I gave him the brief rundown, and we quickly decided to get a group together.Long story short, the most epic things to drop that run were the rings, and most of us already had better ones equipped. However, I had a blast during the run, and the next day, I was back in the Scarlet Monastery with a new group. On the first kill, the Horseman dropped a Sinister Squashling. We all rolled for it, and it went to the paladin. On the second kill, nothing. The third kill, though... that was the real highlight of my day, for that was when old Headless blessed me with The Horseman's Reins! When I won the roll, I literally got out of my chair and danced with joy!
I spent about two lifetimes, I taught a no-name hunter how to FD ---> Trap and I spent 16 weeks convincing people to help me farm the pattern for Robe of ArchmageWow. And to think I didnt ever find it, a guildie found it and gave it to me :)cherrysoulja was his name
I'd have to say that my new epic loot is http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44178 from the achievement http://www.wowhead.com/?achievement=2143. Getting 50 mounts was harsh and cost a fortune, but I don't regret it. I'm like 1 of 5 people on my server that has this mount. I feel so special. =)
Note: This is posted for the sake of posting; disregard as an entry, as I am not in the United States. ;)Back in 2006 I took a break from the game. At the time, my Hunter was my main toon. After returning to the game, I decided to play my Mage -- she is my main toon to this day. I was unguilded, so started spending time in Silithus; a lot of time. When I wasn't farming Cenarion Circle reputation, I was PvPing.Eventually, I joined a suitable guild and started raiding Molten Core and Blackwing Lair. I continued farming my CC reputation in Silithus and ran AQ20 whenever possible. Soloing the elite bugs in the hives became possible after I had built up my raiding gear somewhat. The day came that I dinged exalted. I immediately went and got my Blade of Vaulted Secrets. After around three months of intense farming, I had acquired my greatest reward and most prized possession. Even getting the Head of Nefarian didn't compare; although the elation at having finally downed Nefarian is one other epic event that will always hold a special place in my heart.I now look forward to replacing my currently rusting Jaded Crystal Dagger. The game moves on, and so must we.
