Thats why he said, quote:
When exactly was this proven and accepted globally?
Yes, the first does indeed have restrictions. Just as an example, if you run into a movie theater and shout "FIRE!" your going to get arrested. Same with going onto a plane and shouting "BOMB!". Freedom of speech is limited to your ability to cause direct or indirect physical or mental harm to another person.
Accepted? Hasn't ever been accepted, and as long as there is an overprotective mother in existence it will NEVER be accepted. Proven? You can't really be 100% sure of anything, however studies have shown that children who grow up playing violent video games are no more likely to go on a shooting spree than children who grow up on the farm. However, saying that video games DO cause violence in adolescents is even MORE unproven than saying that they DON'T. People just assume that because video games contain violence that kids who play them will grow up to be blood thirsty killers... Assumptions are dangerous things.
I could care less what the rest of the world thinks ... as an American, I am proud that I have a right to be both violent and vulgar, provided I not strike the first real physical blow against others.I'm glad to hear that, since WoW is an online game, they can sidestep this crap in Oz.I was afraid for a second there we would end up with different games in different servers ... fuzzy-happy Nerf-Land on the Oceania realms ... heh. Wouldn't like to have to deal with the resulting stampede of Australians to NA servers ...

Our classification board has been long out of touch.Doing anything like this only hurts local retailers, and promotes online purchases.
Of course, their "Great Internet Wall of Australia" would block connections to US WoW servers anyways, so the point would be moot. *Is glad he lives in Canada* <3
