Quite late I began to practice archeology, but now I find this occupation interesting and unique. Im in the process of completing the quests, and I expect to close all the archeology quests before release BfA. In BfA, I hope to see many new places for excavations, and new epic and legendary artifacts.
I feel like order hall is best gold income, 12 chars, 10 mins a day, cca 500k raw gold each month. Problem is it takes some time to do all argus quests
I was making gold from herbalism myself but always got motion sick after couple tens minutes, so no more for me. I guess I will have to keep gambling with my guildmates for easy gold for that sweet Brutosaur 3:)
Discussion point: I haven't done much digging during Legion. The most I've done is hunt for the Spirit of Ech'ero. Thanks for the giveaway. It would be awesome if were to win.
Only really did archeology on my main char for the highmountain quest mount. I think there should be more like this in BFA alot of ppl like me need a little push to do it and something that makes is worth too do.
i have done alot of digging. I am looking to get my achiev (This side up) to unlock my artifact weapon
I have 11 alliance toons and have done quite a bit of archaeology on just a few of them. It's nice to be able to take a break away from the dungeons, raids, pvp, etc and just float around looking for goodies and collections. You never know what you may end up finding/completing. I definitely enjoy getting the pets, toys, and transmog gear. Never did get the raptor fossil mount, though. In most cases, I don't sell anything though. I like to have the option to have the pets following me or compare with guildies and friends. I definitely want Wyrmy and will put time into arch as I have since WoD.With regards to gold making, I think it's pretty balanced and the time spent is respectable for anyone. It's much like anything else in game. The more time/effort you put into it, the more you get out of it. Yes, it can be a bit of work if you don't understand how to play the auction house, or don't know where the best gold resources are, but anyone can invest a little time and get themselves the gold. I think the toughest part that has existed forever, is people that don't actually have the time to focus on making gold. IRL takes a front seat and these folks can get left behind in cases where they want to buy something that is very expensive either from a vendor or AH.I think overall, people need to take advantage of the various things to do in game so it doesn't get stagnant. Pet battles, archaeology, professions, etc etc. For me, I find myself leveling new toons on different servers and meeting new people. I took a break from WoW Legion for IRL family stuffs, but I'm anxious to get back in and test BFA and see the future.
The new additions to the game look amazing, especially the pet. Might level up my arch finally :D.
I find the trading in WoW very different from trading in other MMO's because of the server economy. Personally, it's really hard to sell in low-medium population servers, without making tons of listings. That said, I don't mind the number of listings I have to put up so long as I can make a profit in the end that's worthwhile (and can help pay for the sub)
On Archeology, I've managed... two digs. One for the spooky moose (a ghoost?), and the one in Azsuna. I can't say I've ever been too excited over Archeology except when mounts are involved, but the artifact tint has had me trying to convince myself to try it every now and then.
Personally I haven't really been doing the archeology quests, because they feel somewhat repetitive, and up to this point I honestly didn't know how much the pet for an example was worth. If it really gives around 50k gold.. Who knows, maybe I will start doing them again?
I haven't done much pet battling in Legion but I'm going to use up all my spare Pet Charms for the 25 lv battle stones before the price gets increased in BFA.
I did some archeology sind Legion. But my main gold income came from selling stuff in the auction House of boosting :) . But digging in the dirt is also a fun way top geht some cool stuff.
I spend plus/mines 2h a day to make gold. I do it by selling pets. i prefer to spend more time making gold if the price of the token wil go up. My another main activities is raiding, most of my time i spend beating Boss.
I haven't been into making a ton of gold mostly because there doesn't seem to be much of a point. I actually got less interested, too, when the auctioneer mount was revealed (the one costing 5 million gold); it seems like Blizzard is just inserting unreasonable goalposts as a way to justify the insane inflation.
I should spend more time on gold-making but weekly it is like 4 hours or so. My other main activity is just raiding and generally playing the game.
I mostly went around suramar mining for ores and made the felhound mount a few times.
I have maxed out my main char going way back in Kalimdor and digging for the clockwork gnome :P this is the second legion arqueology quest i've done and started it just because i was sick of that yellow exclamation mark in dalaran lol when i turned it in and got a pet i was the world's most happy girl xD
I did 8 of the archeology quests so I could obtain the artifact color. I think the changes they made in Legion made archeology less RNG, which was nice. I hope they add another mount for archeology in BFA, and that they keep adding quests to do the archeology sites.
I did enough digging in legion to get the mouse mount and the artifact skin. After that there was no reason to continue digging.
